It still doesn’t feel right talking about the good and fun things I’ve been doing especially while there are people that are still fighting for their lives and their country. My heart goes out to all of the people that are fighting, fleeing and losing loved ones to this senseless war.
I pray that a swift and satisfactory resolution can be found. And that love, light and healing goes to wherever it is needed. And I ask you to do the same.
So lots of things have happened since my last update but it all pales in comparison to the other things happening in the world.
Tangling:
I got tile swap 14
It was from a lady called Rose Morgan
And this is the one I sent
I did send a letter with it but it was hand written and I can’t remember what I wrote.
Sandra has released a new stencil set about sea life. I haven’t got it yet but after seeing all the samples from the design team I wanted to have a play and I came up with this.:
I’ve only done a bit of colouring and shading and I haven’t touched it since. Thinking about it I really should get on with it and get it finished. There is still a fair bit to do.
I’ve done a couple of cards over the past few weeks:
There is another one but it’s a Mother’s Day card and I’m not sharing until after that. Speaking of Mother’s Day I have the joys of removing all my metal work and spending half an hour lying in a stupidly noisy polo.I have to go for an MRI. I think it might be with contrast but I can’t remember.
I’ve also spent quite a bit of time sat in front of Dorris. I’ve started some patchwork. I think it may become a quilt but I’m not sure yet. I’m going for something called a disappearing 9 patch.
I started off with blue and green.
This has then gone on to add green and red
Then a few more green and red:
I’ve also sewn some more patches that I then need to cut up and sew together again to add to the creation. These are the other patches I’ve sewn:
I’ve also sewn some phone/ tablet stands:
And a big one:
The big one was the first I did and it isn’t brilliant. The smaller ones are sew much better.
I’ve finished reading with a bit of listening to a book called Scythe. It’s set in the future where you can’t physically die. You become deadish and are revived to carry on with your life. The only way to die permanently is to be gleaned or killed by a scythe. It isn’t anywhere near as bad as that sounds.
When I say part read and part listen I had the audio book and I downloaded the digital version of the book so going through it I partly read some of it and partly listened to it.
I finished that book and I’m now listening to another book called spell monger. This one is interesting. It seems to be about a retired battle mage that’s working as a spellmonger in a little village that gets attacked by some goblins. He finds the goblins using an ancient powerful kind of magic and he’s now gone on a quest to figure it out.
Anyway. Please send love and light to the people of Ukraine and pray for a resolution to the conflict.
Love and light.
