So I’ve changed the logo for the site.
This is something I made up when I started tangling. It means Humbug, it has all the letters just mixed up and organised in a different way.
I know it hasn’t been that long since the last post. It’s only been a couple of days so not much has been happening. I’ve made a few cards, done some tangling and a couple of other things.
So let’s start off with a card I made for mum for Mother’s Day.
I made it a couple of weeks ago and tangled the pattern. I did get some help from Sandra when it came to the shading and adding the colour but it looks cool. What do you think?
I’ve done some other cards too. This one is the one I’m most impressed with:
It looks good and I’m really happy with the way it turned out. I followed along with the project in issue 86 of the tattered lace magazine. I already have the floral die collection from Tattered Lace so I just printed out flowers and cut out the picture using the die. Then put everything together.
This is another one:
That’s a nice card that came from a kit by Hunkydory
It’s a decoupage kit that has quite a few layers but looks great when it’s done. Unfortunately though the card is a sympathy card for a friend of mum and dads that’s passed away.
Here is another card:
That one is based on a project from the Tattered Lace magazine issue 3. The layers on there were supposed to be straight but as I messed up getting the dark green layer straight I thought I’d put the next one on slanted to make it look like that is the way it’s supposed to be.
I’ve also been playing with some of the other dies I have:
Some cute little animals.
On to tangling, I’ve only done one tile since the last post and here it is:
This one looks awesome and I’m really happy with the way it turned out. I have no idea where Sandra gets her ideas and inspiration from but the things she comes up with are amazing. The fact she gets people like me to produce pieces of art like that is unbelievable.
It’s the next tile swap tomorrow. Tile swap 3. This time though there shouldn’t be any problems with the post because Sandra said she’s going to use a different address to send the tiles to. I think I’m going to put a bit more planning into the tile this time round. I am determined to make this tile really good. Anyway we’ll have to wait and see.
Knitting wise I’ve been struggling to decide on what to do next. I know in the last post I said I was going to carry on with the pangolin. Yeah I haven’t got any further than I was last week. I sort of haven’t really done anything with it. I have started on something else though. I decided to start on another oven cloth.
It’s recycled cotton but it’s nice colours though. Two different balls of yarn knitted together. I’ve no idea how big it’s going to be I’m just going to carry on until I get bored or decide it’s big enough.
So today was Mother’s Day. You’ve already seen the card I made for her but I got her a scented candle and some new PJs.
As it was mother’s day she said she wanted a steamed sponge pudding so I made her one.
So this next week is a bit of a busy one. So there is church on Tuesday and Saturday. Wednesday is bloods in the morning then in the afternoon I get to have a half down lie down in a loud polo. Whoop whoop, it’s time for an MRI, it’s been a while since I’ve had one. It’s at Salford. I’ve had one there before I just hope it’s not one of the smaller tight machines and it’s one where they can play music through the headphones.
At some point before hand I will have to take all of my metal work out. I don’t think it will be difficult, it shouldn’t be. But at least this time though I shouldn’t have to worry about the holes healing up. There is the development group session on Friday evening and probably some other things too but as per usual I can’t think of them.
So with that, love and light.
