The time has come…. Dum dum duuuuuuuummmmmm

So yeah, it finally happened. Covid has made it into the house. Dad and Mason have it. At the moment(time of writing) me and mum don’t). It was first found during the normal Sunday morning test. Mum, dad and I came back clear, mason didn’t. I’m proud to say o didn’t freak out.

I did ask if I could spray him with detol or set him on fire (jokingly) to disinfect him but I was told No. That started the daily testing. This morning Dad’s test came back positive but me and mum are still clear. I think that will change though over the next few days. I think it came home from school with Mason. I knew it would happen, it was always going to be a case of when, not if.

So over the last 2 weeks quite a bit has been happening. Me and Mum spent a day at Sanntangle HQ. I’ve had a physio appointment and spent a lot of time playing with Dorris.

So the day at Sanntangle HQ. It was a long day. Early morning get up, sit in the car on the way to Scunthorpe it was a bank holiday Monday so the traffic wasn’t too bad. It was quite a clear run over. On the way we drove past one of the most wondrous places on the face of the planet (well I imagine it that way) it’s not Disneyland. This picture will say it all:

It is one of the ancestral homes of Haribo sweets. Mum said we couldn’t stop so I just had to think of all the wonderful sweets that were being created. As we went past I did have to calm down the golden bears in my bag. They were getting a bit giddy.

When we got to HQ we said hi to people and then the tangling began. We each got a secret mission envelopes. The first thing we did was draw a tiny Lotus flower.

When I say tiny it was on a circular piece of card that is about an inch across. The card was then stuck into a little wooden holder. Later on Sandra suck a cabochon over it to make a little pendant.here is my little Lotus flower:

After the little lotus we started on the first other piece of the day. Form just some random looking shapes in a stencil we can put with a birds in a frame:

Then it was lunch time, after that we stayed the second piece which was fantasy flowers in a circular frame. I was very happy with the one I did. By the time we were doing the frame I started drifting off. You know when you get that feeling of when your eyes start closing and you’re fight really hard to stay awake. I was starting to feel like that so the the shapes and lines I was drawing became a bit rushed and scruffy. Because I wasn’t happy with the work I’d done I set myself the task of doing it again.

The yellow on was the redo and the blue the original. Here is a close of the yellow piece:

I was a lot happier with that version and while I was doing it I decided to add some colour.

As per usual I’ve done some tiles over the last two weeks.

I also received tile swap 12:

That looks great but it opened up into:

Amazing I was blown away. It’s awesome. I was also asked by Sandra if I would do another tile for someone else. So I didn’t just get one. I got two. Here is the other tile I received:

Here is one of the tiles I sent in

And here is the other:

I’ve also spent a lot of time playing with Dorris and I’ve done quite a few things with her. I made a large drawstring project bag for mum. Something she can keep her current knitting project in.

I made myself a new face mask:

It’s got sloths on.

I’ve been playing with some patchwork:

And I’ve also started on another bag project for Mum. It’s a patchwork tote bag:

Here is one side:

And here is the other:

I’ve still got to add a few things and sew it all together and maybe change a few things round but it’s coming along and keeping me out of mischief.

Something else that happened last week was I had to have a tooth out. Because it was a wisdom tooth I had to go to a specialist that way I’d would only need one attempt rather than possibly 2. But it was quite quick and mainly painless. I didn’t even realise he had done the anaesthetic. I just though he was doing the normal poke about thing that dentist do before they do anything. Before I knew it it was numb and he said he was about to start and to let him know I’d there was any pain. The only pain bit I felt was a bit of a sensitive teeth feeling at the start. So he left me for a minute or so then carried on. After that minute there was no feel and the. He pulled the tooth out. The only pain I’ve had since is a bit of an achey feeling. And I’ve put that down to getting to close while brushing my teeth.

Anyway that’s about it from me for now. Stay as safe as you can. Fingers crossed I get away without being infected and I’ll see you all soon.

Love and light.
